We also want to send congratulate our neighbor across the hall, architect Peter Quinn on the adoption of his beautiful daughter Eve. Peter and his wife traveled to Mainland China to meet Eve and everything went smoothly.
Fans of our Web site, thealewife.com, know already that the hottest game in town is handicapping who goes where when the Patrick administration starts handing out all those sweets jobs. We, perhaps irresponsibly, put out that State Sen. Jarrett T. Barrios, D, Cambridge, will land a post. This would set in motion not only a special election for state senate. If State Rep. Alice K. Wolf, D, North Cambridge, wins the seat that would spawn a special election to fill her seat. Then, if say, City Councilor Marjorie Decker wins that state rep seat, there would be a special election to fill her seat--if she wants to leave it. Not everyone does, you know.s to fill vacancies.
By the way, does anyone know what state rep. district Jesse Gordon lives in? We sometimes lose track of him. Fortunately, we held him down long enough to get a column out of him--on page 8.
